wasn't planning to update the live version so quickly but I found a serious bug! I have updated the download links directly on the game page.
What's New in 1.1.3
- because of a mistake on my code, in version 1.1.2 you couldn't lose a battle. Even if you lost it, the game story would continue like nothing happened!
- now it autosaves before the battle starts, in the deck screen. Unfortunately, only the PREVIOUS deck is stored, not the new one. The save is visible in the auto-save folder in the load/save screen
- the "auto-skip" text is no longer displayed on the top-left corner in the battle screen

Hi, just remembered that there's a new update for romance. Is there any changes to existing romance dialogues/scenes or just adding the new romances?
jack1974Jul 26, 2016
No the existing romances are the same, there are a lot of new ones though!

Didn't see a bug thread for this. On Graciela's friendship/romance dialogue where she's talking about auras, there are some issues.
Early on in the scene, Christophe has a line that actually begins "Christophe" - probably a scripting error.
Later on, this dialogue doesn't seem to make sense. Is there a line missing?
Diana: If I didn't know better, one would say this was almost fated.
Graciela: It's nice to think there was a guiding force, drawing us together.
Diana: Perhaps a psionic magnet? Perhaps.
Diana: Sweet of you to say so, but there is only one person I care to know me that intimately. (uh, what is this in response to?)
Lola: That must be something to see.
Graciela: I...I might be able to... (seems to be talking about sharing thoughts? not sure, refers to something previous that wasn't said.)

The Cristophe showing is a "transcript error" (from normal writing to renpy). As for the rest I need to look at it to see if there was some condition / variable check that is missing or wrong
TroyenNov 03, 2016
More typos (playing as Diane). I forgot how to grab line numbers again.
The Alex bar scene where Graciela is levitating popcorn:
Meanwhile you are slightly distracted as you go through your messags...
The Xavier scene where he's talking about surfing on Leviathon II:
Mario: I think he has you there, Mira. Still, if I was your parents, I'd have had heart attack. (should be "a heart attack")
jack1974Nov 03, 2016
The key to show the line numbers is F1
TroyenNov 09, 2016
plot/missions.rpy 2306: "Is there any way to convince to you return the stolen samples?" (should be "convince you to")
2308: "ahold" should be one word.
jack1974Nov 09, 2016
Thanks. Of course I'm not going to do an update just for typos, but I fix the error as you report them, so whenever I'll do the next one (probably to update Ren'Py libs) the fixes are there
TroyenNov 09, 2016
Yeah, I figured it'd all get rolled into the update where you remove email registration or something.
plot/talk.rpy 6614: should be "settlements"
6677: Kaden says "Or man hoisting a gun." But the previous line is "Why not both at once?" I think this should be "Or a man". (It might also be "Our man in response to 6673, but I'm playing as Diane so I don't think so?)
jack1974Nov 09, 2016
Yes it's definitely "Or a man"

Ending.rpy 1104 is written starting "Captain Diana Nelson's actions..." but then goes on to use the plural "them" and "they" in the rest of the text. Should be singular "her". Unless you're including her brother, but he wasn't mentioned at the beginning of the sentence.
1107 and 1192 confuse me because
I thought I wiped out all the robots per 1018 but the Descorians are still rampaging throughout the galaxy?
1236 needs a comma after Nelson.
1476 I think you can move the comma from after "abilities" to after "research".
jack1974Nov 10, 2016
Hmm I am not sure where "them" and "they" is used ? I think is used only in the romance epilogues, and in that case is correct. Like Mizuki's:
Alex’s relationship with Mizuki soon revealed one strength: the two would never be bored. Whether they were buried deep in the newest 3-D game, or racing across the wastes of Stronghold, Alex and Mizuki made sure they had time with one another. Even when they were in their old age, they displayed an energy and enthusiasm younger couples would try to emulate.
About the Descorians, it's a sort of spoiler
Obviously anyone who played Planet Stronghold (RPG) knows they WILL be back. It says they saved the galaxy from them, because they hit them very hard. So before there was an army of Descorians, with factories pumping out robots, now they've destroyed MOST of them, but not all. And they're tough to die
TroyenNov 10, 2016
I was trying to be lazy and not type out all of the text in 1104. But here goes:
Captain Diana Nelson's actions on Stronghold brought them much acclaim and honor, as well as the attention of their superiors. When trouble arose, and every other option was exhausted, High Command knew Diana Nelson could finish the job. With each success, they showed the rest of the galaxy just what humanity was capable of achieving.
The "them" indicates multiple people...the colony perhaps? It's not mentioned directly though. I know there are a ton of conditionals in this section, my preceding line was 1079.
I played Planet Stronghold back in...2011 maybe, so not sure I remember? But at the end of PSCD there's a lot of talk about how the Descorians only have one factory and then when you wipe them out there's a celebration because you killed them all. And even in the epilogue text in 1018 it says I destroyed the final factory and they were considered wiped out...but that's apparently not the case just a few lines later. So there's an apparent contradiction in the game text.
For an actual "bug", you can use Assault on the Stationary Apex Rahn totems in the final fight. It makes them wiggle as if they can attack, but they still can't actually move. So I think the bug is the attack animation Assault gives them. Should just treat it like buffing a wall.
jack1974Nov 10, 2016
Ah lol, no I had that exact sentence open but I somehow missed it
Yes it's not metioned directly. I think perhaps not the whole colony, but Nelson's team. Maybe I could change it to:
Captain Diana Nelson's and her team actions on Stronghold brought them much acclaim and honor, as well as the attention of their superiors...
that would work?
As for the Descoria:
the thing is that while the factory was a physical point, something they could see... the Descoria are actually a sort of virus/AI floating in the "internet of future" so hard to completely defeat. However, you're right that it's a bit contraddictory, and since Galina's ending is the only one in which they're mentioned, I'll just change that line

Ah OK. It's only an animation bug though, right? thanks

Yeah, that would work. Note the minor correction.
And yes, it's an animation bug. Assuming you're okay with letting us have 2/8 stationary non-wall Apex Rahn totems.
Also, I noticed the achievements would pop up at the start of a scene when in your other games they tend to show up at the end of a scene. I prefer the 'at the end' part because the achievement popup would tend to spoil what was about to happen. Was that an intentional change?
jack1974Nov 10, 2016
Yes I put them at the beginning since was easier to code (did the same also for QoT).
In future games will try to put them later to avoid spoiling the surprise indeed
