this is the new art-style for Bionic Hear 2 game (will probably just call it using a subtitle instead). I am currently thinking what kind of gameplay to have. Using a simple VN style like the first one is out of discussion, I'm thinking if to make it more adventure, or perhaps more RPG...

I like the artwork. An adventure game sounds interesting. Given that you had so many different endings to the first Bionic Hearts game, I'm interested in how you would handle the introduction to a new game. :)

Haha well I would just pick one of the ending as the "true ending" (I already know which one would be). However I might pause this one and try to use this art-style with something more female-friendly like a fantasy game (need to pay the bills! )

I really like the artwork. I would like to see Bionic Heart 2 designed more towards a RPG, but I'm also blissfully unaware of how involved the different types of games are to program and produce. Bionic Heart was the first game I ordered from Winter Wolves and is now long gone from my hard drive, but I remember it well. I do hope that development of Bionic Heart 2 won't interfere with the production of an add-on to Planet Stronghold ;) Maybe the new Tanya artwork could be used for a new character in PS. Bionic female that survived for centuries and is discovered decommissioned in a vault on the planet.

Well I hope to still use the original artist to make Planet Stronghold add-on, since would be bad to mix styles!

An add-on would add maybe a bonus character, bonus romances and probably an extra 8-9 hours of battles/quests, but not a complete new game :)

I must confess that I'm a bit burned out from making Planet Stronghold though, so for the rest of this year I might do something more "light", but still fun to play!
SpectralTime
Then I hope Planet Stronghold is a success. On a side note, which ending of Bionic Heart is going to be the "true" one?
jack1974
The "true" one (which means is the one I picked for the sequel) is the one where

you (as Luke) escape on Mars with Helen, Tanya and Tom

.

Planet Stronghold so far is doing very well. Actually, I could say I am already recovered from the burn-out, the main problem right now are the "desaparacidos" artists (artists that slow down or completely vanish for weeks). Is a common problem amongst indie game developers, but thought is a bit funny to have SIX active project all on hold waiting for artists to finish the art!!!
JackoWords
"Desaparacidos"? I am guessing you are *not* from Argentina. :)
jack1974
no they aren't indeed  that was a abd joke, but I meant they disappear nowhere to be found :o anyway, two replied saying should be back working fullspeed soon!
jack1974
How's this as art quality for a game? 8) Quite enthusiast about it!

Wow! I like it.

This is very good.

Thanks :) The game won't be ready before next year for sure, and hopefully this new artist won't vanish in the air, so when is ready might be one of my best looking games ever 8)
Jim1958
I'm sorry in advance, but I have to do this.

Maybe you should make a game about "the case of the vanishing artists".
jack1974
Haha but that would be a sad sad story! It might end with the game developer going nuts and shooting himself

I am sad to hear that the artist up and fled. I really liked the look of the first game, but I also like the new art work. I can't imagine playing with the same characters though. I've only got about 6 endings so far, but I just have an image in my head about what happens to them, so if they magically start over again its kinda weird for me. Maybe that's just me, since I haven't finished all the endings :).
jack1974
Well the original artist decided to pursue a webcomic career. I confused this with Loren Amazon Princess game. She didn't vanish in the air but gave me notice, so was correct.

I really like this new artist though, even if is perhaps less manga, but the quality is much higher.

I know is weird to do a sequel of a multiple-ending game, because you never know which is the right one to pick, or because you might consider the "right" ending a different one from mine
charonn
I'm not sure if this ending was in the first game or not since I haven't gotten all of the endings , but I am hoping that ....

There is an ending where you become like a crazy cat man/cat lady. I really liked Orthelo the cat and would love an ending where you don't end up with any guy or girl but just the cat  . Maybe I am weird, but that is my idea of a good ending. I really liked the Orthelo interactions and found them to be funny. I hope there are also cats in the sequel. I'd actually like to hear more about how they were tested and maybe have options to save all the cats and have a cat utopia or so. Yes, I'm a bit crazy :o :)

jack1974
Haha no there isn't such ending :D But there will be Othello in the sequel as well (need to remind the new artist to draw him).

However the idea of saving the cats from the lab is cool and maybe can use it in the sequel story somehow :)
charonn
Oh yes, I apologize for butchering his name 0-0. I am really bad with names and for some reason was thinking there was an "r" in it. My misspelling of Shakespeare. But yeah I really liked the scene where ....

When you are cooking with Helen you can pet the cat and then she gets upset because you'll get cat hair on the food

I was also thinking maybe it would be interesting to have a bionic female protagonist this time. So maybe Tanya or someone else as the main character for a different viewpoint :).
