Basically I'm writing the scenes for Juliet and Ebele romances, among minor additions. So I hope my writing is enjoyable to those who play it and romance those characters. (#^.^#)

a work in progress of the simulation part. Seems complex, but don't worry, those used to visual novels can just play at Easy level and will be impossible to lose :lol:

I can't wait to play this. Silly Question and I would perfectly understand if not but is there a CG/Special Sprite art for each Job ending? So so excited! Missed Heileen by nice to have her back and see where life's final hurdle takes her.

There's a custom sprite art for each ending, though not a full CG. Those are only for the romance endings :)

Just want to comment that even though I never played the first two (the first one didn't really catch my interest because I like a few more stats than most visual novels...) but I might have to give them another try (or at least the demo!). Heileen 3 looks interesting, but I like 'catching up' with everything else in a series.



Also, some of the interface looks similar to Spirited Heart. Plan on incorporating any ideas/developing them for Spirited Heart 2?

Though at the beginning there's a summary of the past events, I recently lowered the prices of the first two titles, so that would be a good moment to check :wink:

Yes I'm experimenting a bit with some ideas for SH2, in particular the "leveling skills" and "bonus partner". The first one means that the skills don't go from 0 to 100 anymore, but every time you reach 100 you gain a level up. So having a level 3 skill in Cooking means you gained already 300 points. This will work better because there won't be any penalty, but you'll always gain a little of points for the activities with some big bumps in case of good days.

The bonus partner instead means you'll be able to invite someone else to work with you, and depending who is you can get a good bonus. You'll have to discover at which jobs the various characters are good at :)

This will be the icon shown during the activities to simulate the passage of time. I am not sure which one to use, initially I wanted to have the boat helm, but even the second test (the bottom one) looks quite good. Hmmm.....

the almost final layout of the "choose your activity" subscreen in the simulation part. I hope it's not too complex. I think during the beta testing most of the effort will be to make sure that the game mechanics can be easily understood. After the supercomplex Loren screens though it's going to be a breeze :mrgreen:

Whats the Primary Wisdom (1) and Secondary Languages (1) part though and I don't get how that would help you pray?

Yes the whole crew (or better all the relevant characters that you can invite). The number in the bracket is the level of that skill. Similarly with Spirited Heart, each advanced skill is related to two basic skills, though in this case there is no minimum requirement, but they influence the progression speed.

In that example, if we had Wisdom at 2, the expected increase would be 3-5 (+1 for each level in Wisdom) while the secondary is divided by 2. So Languages at 3 would give +1 too.

About how it would help pray, it was hard to match each job with base skills, so there might be some "not exactly fitting" combos like that one. You can say that knowing Latin (language) will help you pray better :lol:

Oh I get it now! I was thinking what it god's name (no pun intended) is secondary language? Maybe you need a : or something after the secondary and primary for idiots like me :lol:

Ahh now I understand LOL no you're right maybe need to add "Primary Skill" and "Secondary Skill" :) anyway, the beta testing phase will be useful to fix all those details.

Today found someone to commission the chibis, but I realized that some ship activities were a bit... bizarre. It's hard to find a good range of activities for all the various skills being confined on a ship, but that's the best I could come up with:

Hey Jack, I just read on your blog that the otome version is probably coming In December...Any news about when the yuri version might be ready? Last I heard the writer was coming along nicely and working on Juliet romance.

Yes it shouldn't be much delayed vs the base game... The writer will likely finish Ebele (the latest character) in December, but then I'll have to check all the sprites expressions and do a preliminary testing, and that took me 2 months for the base game :oops:

Depends also if I'll release Bionic Heart 2 first or not, but in any case I'd say end of February/March at the latest (but I hope sooner).
