One thing I was wondering is what ending is the "canon" ending as there are so many endings to Heileen 2?

Well, honestly I wouldn't say there's a "canon" ending, though my favorite is the Chastity one (basically Heileen & Morgan romance ending).

The game starts as if they were just rescued by the pirates, but Heileen & friends ask to stay and offer their services, so probably the "canon" ending should be the Humility ones (where Heileen becomes a sort of shipboy).

Just an update: the game writing is almost finished, but this time need some careful proofread because the writer's English is not really good, a friend is taking care of that. Because of the kind of game I don't expect to see the "crowd-proofread" which made Loren the most clean game ever written

The theme song is being made and musician said he'd be going to try finishing it by June. At this point I think after Loren this might be the next game I release (the boy version only though, the girl's love version will be out later).

Yes, there was a bit of last minute problem since the artist was overworked and asked me if could just do one CG between Juliet and Ebele (Marie and Lora are already done). But of course was a bad solution, so we found a good compromise and it seems that both will be done. I haven't got any sketches or anything but she said that she would do it at end of month and usually she keep her promises

Started working on Heileen 3 with the new engine which is still being updated, as a test project. The main difficulty was the impossibility to use separate JPGs for alpha+color, so I had to use transparent PNG for sprites. Where's the problem you might ask? that separated JPGs were taking 15-20% of the space So I made some tests trying to reduce the filesize of the images, since otherwise the game would become too huge to download. I think the result shows that is possible to get an very similar image quality using 256 colors instead of true color!

I don't notice any real quality difference between the two. I'd say experiment successful.
